Laptops

• restricted to UofT students, staff and faculty
• coverage: 2nd floor, main floor, 1Below, 2Below, 3Below
• to access network you will need:
  • UTORid and password
  • configure your laptop
• printing to public networked printers

Printing

• available from all PCs and laptops (Mac laptops not supported yet)
  
• 2 printers (Wallace Room and near Information Desk)
• cost is $0.15 per page
• payment via TCard or photocopy card

• cost for colour printouts: $1.00/page for letter and legal; $2.00/page for tabloid

UTORids & using PCs in Gerstein

• PCs restricted to UofT faculty, staff and students require UTORid and password
  • activate UTORid on your Tcard (all new students)
  • create a UTORid (existing faculty & staff and returning students)
  • check your UTORid
  • reset forgotten UTORid password (students only)
  • change UTORid options (e.g. forward UTORmail)
  • for UTORid problems: contact Information Commons Help Desk
  • for Faculty of Medicine faculty and staff only without UTORids or with UTORid questions: contact Allison Larsh at discovery.commons@utoronto.ca or 416-946-3289. In person inquiries can be directed to Allison at the Discovery Commons Office, Room 3172,(NW corner), Medical Sciences Building, 1 King's College Circle, 9 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
• over 100 PCs with full internet access and printing; 50 PCs in Wallace Room have MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• non UofT members may use 5 PCs by Information Desk
• 2 PCs prioritized for patrons in wheelchairs. One requires UTORid and has MS Office. The other does not require UTORid but does not have MS Office
