Welcome to the Gerstein Science Information Centre, the largest academic science and health science library in Canada. Gerstein is also one of the largest libraries in the astounding University of Toronto Library system, the third largest academic library system in North America.

The excellent staff and librarians at Gerstein are here to help you succeed at the University of Toronto and beyond.  They can help you become familiar with the rich array of resources, both online and in print, available to you through the libraries.  Through individual consultations, classes and workshops, and online reference help, our research services connect you with librarians and staff who can help you navigate the libraries' rich offerings and connect you with the tools and information you need for your research and coursework. Just email a question to ask.gerstein@utoronto.ca to get started.

I invite you to explore the many spaces available to you throughout Gerstein that can accommodate individual and group study.  The MADLab, located in Gerstein, is a student-centric facility devoted to mobile software development and which also offers 3D printing. Be sure to visit The Green Beet Café, a vegetarian and vegan eatery located just below our main lobby that is a great place to eat, relax, and socialize.

I hope you enjoy utilizing Gerstein and all that it offers. I welcome your thoughts and suggestions on our services, spaces, and collections.
