The University of Toronto Libraries is pleased to host the the annual Science Literacy Week, which runs from September 18-24. This year, our theme is Science in a Post-Truth Era.
The festival's main objective is to inspire wonder and promote engagement with all things science!
The wide variety of free events include:
· insightful talks on the state of science in today's society, fieldwork fails, women in STEM, and extraterrestrial life
· exciting hands-on demonstrations & workshops on alternative (science) facts, virtual reality, 3D printing, and gene editing
· special exhibits on the history of Canadian scientists, fake news, rare books, and indigenous perspectives on science
Live events will also be accompanied by in-library displays, and virtual exhibits featuring recommended books, podcasts, and videos curated by U of T librarians, professors, and students.
