Science Literacy Week is back! Join us Sept 17-23

Coming to a U of T library near you... Science Literacy Week returns Sept 17-23!  Now celebrating its 5th anniversary, U of T Libraries is once again proud to welcome this nationwide, week-long event which aims to inspire wonder and promote engagement with all things science.  This year, our events are out-of-this-world with the theme 2018: A Space Odyssey!

Here's a look at just some of the many events on astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, and the history of science:

  • View displays of rare, early scientific works and experience VR & 3D printing in action
  • Hear insightful talks and see fascinating films
  • Participate in hands-on demos and interactive workshops – including seeing the stars in a travelling planetarium from the Royal Ontario Museum, tasting food of the future, and breaking free from our Martian escape room

Many live events will also be accompanied by in-library displays, and virtual exhibits featuring recommended books, podcasts, and videos.
