Arts & Science Research Experience Drop-In: Exploring Complexity in Science, Society, and Environment
The University of Toronto is one of Canada's top research institutions, and undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts & Science are presented with multiple options for conducting original research with university faculty, one of which, the Research Opportunity Program, provides you a course credit for your research efforts. Fall Campus Day will provide you with an opportunity to experience one of the unique research programs that is offered by Dr. Brad Bass from the School of the Environment.
On Fall Campus Day, November 3rd, Dr. Bass and the Gerstein Library will offer two drop-in sessions for campus visitors. This session provides an introduction to the Research Opportunity Program and a hands-on introduction to one such program in the simulation of complexity. You will be able to meet the professor, some of his students, and conduct an experiment with their COBWEB software.
When: November 3, 2024, various times (11am-12pm,1:30-2:30pm)
Where: Gerstein Science Information Centre, Instruction Lab (2nd flr)
Who: Open to U of T students from all academic programs, as well as students in secondary school
How: Drop-in, no registration required (add to your timetable via the scheduling app)
