Group study room policies

Reservation Procedure

  • Rooms are reserved through our online booking system
  • Accessibility: If you are unable to use the room booking software due to accessibility issues, please call 416-978-2280 to book a room

Reservation Policy

  • Study rooms are intended for groups, not single users. Please check the online booking system for individual room capacity limits.
  • Rooms are restricted to UofT students and faculty with a valid UTORid.
  • Rooms can be booked for up to 3 hours per week.
  • Rooms can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Students who have booked a room have priority for use of the room with the following exceptions:
    •  Rooms booked but unoccupied after 15 minutes will become available to other students
    •  A group vacating a study room for breaks longer than 20 minutes will forfeit the room

Code of Conduct:

  • Rooms are for studying and academic group work
  • Commercial activities are not permitted
  • Please vacate your room at the end of your reservation, to enable the next group to start at the assigned time
  • One individual using a study room should be prepared to move if requested to do so by a group of 2 or more students
  • Eating is not permitted in study rooms
  • Please dispose of all garbage and recyclables when you leave the room
  • Study rooms are not sound-proof; please be respectful of others in the area and keep discussion volumes low while using the rooms
  • Everyone using the study rooms is expected to abide by the Library Policies
